Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis Celebrates the Eureka! Class of 2026

On Friday, April 24, Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis proudly celebrated seven remarkable young women during the 2026 Eureka! Graduation Ceremony. After years of hands-on STEM learning, leadership development, mentorship, and personal growth, the Eureka! Class of 2026 crossed the stage surrounded by family, friends, mentors, and the Girls Inc. Indy community.
Eureka! is a multi-year STEM-focused program designed to equip girls in grades 8-12 with the confidence, skills, and support needed to pursue their educational and career goals. Through monthly workshops, field trips, summer STEM camps, internships, and mentorship opportunities, Eurekans build lasting connections while exploring new possibilities for their futures.
This year’s graduating class reflects the incredible impact of the program:
- 100% of graduates plan to attend college
- 86% completed at least one internship during high school
- 100% applied for scholarships, and 86% received awards
- 100% took the SAT, and 71% took the PSAT
- 100% mentored younger Eurekans
Graduates will continue their journeys at institutions including Howard University, Tennessee State University, Central State University, Indiana University Bloomington, and the Air Force, pursuing majors ranging from biology and nursing to political science and psychology.

Throughout the 2025-2026 program year, Eureka! scholars also reported significant growth in leadership, confidence, and STEM readiness:
- 100% said their collaboration skills increased
- 89% said their confidence in leadership increased
- 82% said their confidence in public speaking increased
- 79% said they now actively take on leadership roles when given the opportunity
- 73% said they feel they have the diverse skillset necessary to pursue an education and/or career in STEM
Graduates also reflected on the lasting impact Eureka! had on their lives and futures.
“My experience with Eureka! has helped me grow in confidence, leadership, and self-worth. I learned the importance of using my voice, setting goals, and supporting other girls. This program has truly shaped how I see myself and my future.”

“Throughout my four years in Eureka, I learned that networking is very important to get where you want to be. I also learned that teamwork is very important and you will have to work in teams. This program has impacted me tremendously by boosting my confidence and making me become the best version of myself.”
“This program has given me the opportunity to develop lots of new connections and learn that there are several jobs in the STEM field even if it’s not directly related.”
