Ages 18-24 | Center-Based | Mentorship, industry exposure, and hands-on skill building
Career Lab is a workforce readiness and career exploration program designed for young women ages 18–24 who are ready to take the next serious step toward a sustainable career. Through mentorship, industry exposure, and hands-on skill-building, participants move from exploration to action, developing a concrete plan and the credentials to back it up.
PROGRAM COMPONENTS
What participants gain:
- Professional skill-building, mock interviews, and job-readiness training
- Financial literacy and money management skills for long-term stability
- Support earning certifications, completing internships, and pursuing apprenticeships
- One-on-one mentorship to build a personalized, skilled career pathway
- Connections to employers and post-secondary education aligned with their goals
Who it’s for:
Young women ages 18–24 in the Greater Indianapolis area, particularly those navigating barriers to economic opportunity and career advancement.
The impact we’re working toward:
- 80% of participants will develop a skilled career pathway with a mentor
- 75% will complete a certification, internship, or apprenticeship
- 75% will secure employment in their career field within 6 months
- 75% will earn a livable wage and achieve financial independence
