Girl Inc. Indy participated in She Votes this month, an educational, nonpartisan initiative that gives girls the skills and confidence to envision themselves as both future voters and future candidates.

Thanks to the Central Indiana Community Foundation’s Neighbor Relief Fund Grant, we were able to provide some relief to 73 Girls Inc. Indy families in the form of $250 Kroger gift cards to use for food or gas.

As we wrap up the first session of our virtual programming, we’re reflecting on the incredible way girls are persevering in these challenging times. Though only four weeks long, our facilitators saw significant growth in the girls. One message we hope to impart to the girls in our program is that nothing can stop them.

In response to the challenges of 2020, Girls Inc. has strategized new and inventive ways to continue inspiring all girls to be Strong, Smart, and Bold. We need volunteers to support these efforts! Virtual and in-person volunteer opportunities are available. Whether you are returning or new to Girls Inc. Indy, we welcome you to join our latest initiatives.  

Now more than ever, Girls Inc. Indy recognizes the importance of creating lessons that transcend beyond the classroom. That’s why this school year, girls ages 6-14 can participate in Girls Inc.’s intentional and research-based curriculum online, independently from their school.
