Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis is proud to introduce our new High School Programs Coordinator, Danielle Nimtz, and our EmpowerHub Program Coordinator, Kerry Keating!

Danielle Nimtz

Danielle Nimtz is the High School Programs Coordinator at Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis. In this role, Danielle develops and manages the college and career readiness programs for high school aged girls in Indianapolis. Additionally, she coordinates the EmpowerHub site at True North Academy. Danielle holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis and is a candidate for her Master of Public Affairs concentrating in Innovation and Social Change.

Danielle’s previous experience focuses on higher education and student affairs. She has worked with a variety of scholarship programs that incorporate leadership development and civic engagement to first-generational students at all levels post-secondary education. Danielle started at Girls Inc. as a Program Intern in 2018 and since then has served as a Seasonal Program Specialist and the Family Engagement Specialist.

Danielle’s favorite memory at Girls Inc. is receiving beautiful drawings from the girls she serves. She has kept every home-made craft a girl has given to her and plans to make a mural of the beautiful work in the future. She is strong, smart, and bold because she is a natural leader, a great friend and caring mother, and a life-long learner.

Kerry Keating

Kerry Keating is the EmpowerHub Program Coordinator at Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis. In this position, Kerry works closely with the Director of Programs to develop and oversee the daily management of the EmpowerHub of Marion County. Kerry holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Women’s, Gender, and Sexualities studies from Indiana University – Purdue University Indianapolis. In 2019 she was inducted into Triota, IUPUI’s Women’s and Gender Studies Honor Society.

Kerry’s passion for facilitating youth programs came from her time spent volunteering at the non-profit organization Brooke’s Place, a grief relief organization for children who have lost a loved one. Kerry began working at Girls Inc. in October of 2017 as a part-time Program Specialist and Summer Camp Program Specialist while pursuing her undergraduate degree. Her favorite programs to facilitate have been Body Basics and Healthy Sexuality because of her firm belief that girls have a right to understand their bodies. When they do, they hold the power to make safe and responsible decisions. Overall, her mission is to make every girl feel seen and heard.

Kerry embodies the Girls Inc. mission of being a strong, smart, and bold woman through her positive attitude, ability to empathize, and eagerness to problem-solve and meet new challenges.

We are excited to have both Dani and Kerry on staff. Help give them a warm welcome!
