Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis is seeking seasonal employees to deliver programs and engage girls, ages 6 to 18 years old, in Girls Inc. Programs. The Seasonal Program Specialist is expected to plan and facilitate 6 week programs, demonstrate flexibility and adaptability, and have availability to work with community partners Monday through Friday between 7:30 am to 6:00 pm for an average of 10-15 hours a week as needed and creating and maintaining an effective learning environment in alignment with Girls Inc. programming philosophy. The Seasonal Program Specialist must also be able to communicate regularly with the Program Support Coordinators and/or Director of Programs regarding problems, needs or suggested recommendations for changes. The Seasonal Program Specialist will also help in maintaining program materials, attendance records, outcome measurement activities, feedback surveys, and complete a 6-hour training in order to gain the skills needed to facilitate programs.

Candidates must have a minimum of 12 months experience in facilitating programs of youth of at least 20 children, and be pursuing or have already achieved a bachelor’s degree in education, human development, gender studies, social work, or a related field. Having previous experience leading Girls Inc. programs in the last 12-24 months is a plus. Skills in working with diverse groups and creative program implementation style are a must. Candidates should have the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects and be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment, and be sure to represent Girls Inc. professionally in all settings. Reliable and consistent transportation is required.
