The opportunity for girls to explore, dare, and imagine at summer camp would not have been possible without help from our generous summer camp funders. We are grateful for a $10,000 grant from Lilly Endowment Inc. and $2,000 from The Indianapolis Foundation, both through the Summer Youth Program Fund (SYPF)—funding that allowed the girls to go on horizon-expanding fieldtrips and participate in activities that challenged them to grow mentally, physically, and creatively. And thanks to a generous $4,000 grant from the Meridian Street United Methodist Church, more than half of our campers received scholarships to make their summer of discovery possible.
• The Summer Youth Program Fund (SYPF) ensures youth have access to enriching summer learning experiences that support their positive development, prevent summer learning loss, and promote academic achievement. We received $10,000 from Lilly Endowment Inc. and $2,000 from The Indianapolis Foundation, an affiliate of the Central Indiana Community Foundation, through SYPF. • Through its Otto Legacy Fund, MSUMC helps connect disadvantaged youth with camping opportunities or other enriching experiences. The Meridian Street United Methodist Church provided a generous $4,000 grant in support of summer camp scholarships for low-income girls. Learn more at: http://meridianstreet.org/
Our thanks to our summer camp funders for their dedication to inspiring girls!
