Saint Monica Catholic School students spend Service Day at Girls Inc.

By LaTasha Hudson, Volunteer Partnership Coordinator

On May 20, twelve St. Monica Catholic School students and three chaperones volunteered for Girls Inc. through the school's Service Day. The 7th and 8th grade students learned about Girls Inc. while discovering the importance of volunteering in the community in which they live.

Student volunteers completed various projects at the Girls Inc., including planting flowers, pulling weeds, creating a vegetable garden, and sorting program materials for the upcoming school year.

These students' work saved Girls Inc. several hundred dollars in facility maintenance costs. Thank you to the Saint Monica Catholic School and the students who gave their time to Girls Inc!
