2013 Girls Inc. Summer Day Camp

The Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis “Invent Your Own Future” Day Camp  is an affordable four-week program that focuses on the words in our mission statement – strong, smart, bold, and inspire. Our summer camp is designed to inspire girls, ages 6-14, by challenging them mentally, enhancing their physical ability, promoting creativity, and encouraging them to take risks. Summer camp includes hands-on activities and a friendly all-girl environment. 

 

When:     June 17 - July 12
               Monday – Friday 
               7:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m. 
               (Closed July 4th)

Where:    Fall Creek Academy
               2540 N. Capitol Ave. 
               Indianapolis, IN 46208 

Cost:     $100 per week*, 
              plus $20 registration fee

Week 1
Strong
        June 17 – June 21

Build your athletic abilities.
Learn what it takes to be a good friend.
Participate in fun ways to exercise, like
    Zumba.
Be inspired by nutrition and healthy
    living, including a visit to Distelrath
    Farms.

 Week 2
Smart
        June 24 – June 28

Discover your inner scientist and participate
    in experiments at Wonder Lab.
Learn how to successfully manage money.
Explore the IU campus on a college visit.
Learn basic tips and techniques to 
    keep you safe.

Week 3
Bold
        July 1 – July 5

Uncover what isn't real in advertising,
    reality TV, and magazines.
Take a tour of the Indianapolis Art Center.
Discover your inner beauty and boost your
    self-esteem.
Participate in fun activities that promote
    leadership, teamwork, and advocacy. 

Week 4 
Inspired
        July 8 – July 12

Be amazed by the sustainability  
    techniques at Trader’s Point Creamery.
Exhibit your personal talents and
    showcase your inner beauty.
Share your story and discover different 
    writing techniques.
Learn about amazing local women.  

Girls Inc. summer camp offers:

  • Trained, enthusiastic staff.
  • Age-appropriate programs and activities.
  • Weekly field trips.
  • Breakfast, lunch, and snack provided daily.
  • T-shirt included.
  • Friendly, girls only environment.
  • Limited scholarship assistance for families who qualify.
