Be A Volunteer Partner Group!
Improve teamwork and unity among your group by partnering with Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis. Volunteer partner groups often bring multiple employees or members to Girls Inc., and together they lead multi-week programs for girls in a local school or community center.
Early this year, Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis formed a volunteer partnership with Coca-Cola Enterprises.
During their Lunch Bunch program at North Wayne Elementary School, female employees at Coca-Cola Enterprises taught girls about different career choices as well as how to set goals to achieve their personal career aspirations. The Coca-Cola volunteers shared some of their own professional experiences, led a hands-on activity for the group, and inspired the girls to think about their career goals.
Two of these Girls Inc. volunteers, Jane Grout and Melanie Jones, are history-makers. As the marketing unit vice president (Indiana), Grout is in charge of all sales and distribution of Coca Cola products for Indiana and Louisville, with no one higher than her in the state. Jones is the sales center manager (Indiana) in charge of sales and distribution of Coca Cola products for Anderson, Indiana and surrounding areas. Grout and Jones are the first women in history to hold these esteemed positions at Coca-Cola Enterprises. Today, these trailblazing women are sharing their stories with Girls Inc. girls.
