Girls Inc. will be hosting another Girls Inc. Day this year on Saturday, April 21st with Purdue University’s Women in Engineering Program. We will be teaming up to provide the girls exciting program activities in the field of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM).

With an ever-increasing presence of technology in our every day lives, Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis believes it is important that girls feel empowered to understand how the world around them works. This year’s Girls Inc. Day will provide girls with an opportunity to create a packaging design, a bridge design or a catapult design, engaging their critical thinking skills while exposing them to the inner workings of technological programs.

Girls Inc. Day is for girls ages 9 to 16. Upon attending, your girl will take part in this full day of hands-on activities that will challenge her problem-solving skills and encourage teamwork among her and her peers. She will also be able to her to learn more about innovative careers in STEM fields. Girls Inc. Day provides a safe, fun environment for your girl to engage in educational activities, with a minimum staff to girl ratio of 1 staff member to 10 girls.

On Saturday, April 21 participating girls should be dropped-off between 7:45 and 8:15 a.m. at North United Methodist Church, located at 3808 N. Meridian St. The girls will ride a bus to the Purdue University School of Engineering, located in West Lafayette, Ind.
