In our program Redefining Beauty, girls discover that true beauty doesn’t come from their appearance—it comes from their personalities. Girls learn to think positive about themselves, and to value the things that make them unique. Redefining Beauty helped Jayla, 10, realize that “since beauty is on the inside, I have a lot of talents that make me beautiful!” Armani, 13, said, “Don’t let anybody tell you that you’re not beautiful!”

Girls like Jayla and Armani are able to participate in Redefining Beauty because of the generous support of funders like Women’s Fund of Central Indiana. Women’s Fund has been a loyal supporter of Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis for more than 10 years, including a $20,000 grant in 2010. This support has allowed us to continue inspiring the girls in our community to be strong, smart, and bold!

Women’s Fund of Central Indiana is a fund of the Central Indiana Community Foundation. It focuses on creating opportunities for women and girls in central Indiana. Women’s Fund provides grants to organizations that serve women and girls, and works to engage and educate women and children on philanthropy.
