In Girls Inc.’s Work It Out program, supported in part by the Nicholas H. Noyes, Jr. Memorial Foundation, girls develop healthy communication skills and learn the importance of friendship. In one program at Decatur Intermediate Learning Center, girls discussed the differences between a good friend and a bad friend. One girl realized that she had been a bad friend in the past and said the program “made me think about the way I treat my friends and how I need to change for the better.”
