Girls Inc. Seeks Volunteers for Winter Cycle

Goal of 100 new volunteers is set for end of December

Girls Inc. has set a goal of gaining 100 new volunteers by the end of 2010. We are well on our way to reaching that goal, but can use your help! Whether it’s an early New Year’s resolution or holiday gift to greater Indianapolis girls, this winter sign up with a friend or co-worker to inspire girls to be strong, smart and boldSM.

Volunteer with Girls Inc. and make a difference for girlsGirls Inc. winter programs start on Tuesday, January 18, 2011, all over greater Indianapolis. Volunteer facilitators are thoroughly trained to deliver interactive and empowering programs for girls that address bullying, self-esteem, media literacy, and money management. Discover more about leading Girls Inc. programs and meet our volunteers to learn more about their experience.

Our winter programs include new locations and more of our popular programs to choose from. New partner locations include Skiles Test Elementary, IPS 56, Imagine Indiana Life Science Academy East, and Kipp Indy. Or, you can find a program near you. Need another reason to volunteer this winter? Here are ten!

If you’re a current volunteer, we encourage you to sign up to lead a winter program now. Visit Mollie’s blog post for instructions on how to log in to the volunteer portal.
