In our Strong, Healthy Relationships programs, girls develop the skills they need to navigate relationships with their friends, family members, and romantic partners. For example, in our Work It Out program, girls learn about conflict resolution, discover healthy ways to communicate with their friends, and have a safe environment in which to share their feelings. “I like it because you can express your feelings and not be judged,” said Kyla, 10. “I learned to be kind, respectful, and to use a friendly tone to solve a problem,” said Reveonna, 12.
We are able to offer our Strong programs to girls across greater Indianapolis because of the support of funders like the Efroymson Family Fund. In 2010, the Efroymson Family Fund awarded Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis a $50,000 grant for general operating support, which will allow us to inspire many girls to be strong, smart, and bold! The Efroymson Family Fund, a donor-advised fund of the Central Indiana Community Foundation (CICF), is one of the largest donor-advised funds in the country. Formed in 1998, the Efroymson Family Fund has given more than $60 million in support to nonprofit organizations.
We are grateful for the continued and generous support of the Efroymson Family Fund!
