Patricia Wachtel, President & CEO
Patricia Wachtel is President and CEO of Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis and has led the organization through transition from a club-based operation to a collaborative outreach system of program delivery that has dramatically increased service to girls. With the help of 389 volunteers, Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis provided more than 9,037 inspiring and empowering program opportunities for 4,737 girls during 2012. Programs were hosted by 111 community partners including 80 schools.
Pat previously had a 28-year career in commercial banking and corporate philanthropy, and she has chaired and served on numerous community boards of directors. She is currently a member of the Steering Committee of the United Way Agency Executive Council. Pat holds a B. S. in Business Administration from Butler University and an M.B.A. from Indiana University.
Under Pat’s leadership, Girls Inc. of Greater Indianapolis has won two Indiana Achievement Awards for efficiency and effectiveness, most recently in September 2011. Pat was also honored with an IBJ Women of Influence Award in November 2011 and a Torchbearer Award from the Indiana Commission for Women in 2009.
